Installation
CueCapture is available for Windows and macOS. Download the installer for your platform and follow the steps below.
System Requirements
Section titled “System Requirements”- Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
- 4 GB RAM minimum
- 200 MB free disk space
- Internet connection for Notion sync
- macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2) or Intel processor

Download
Section titled “Download”Download the latest version from our GitHub releases page:
Choose the installer for your platform:
- Windows:
CueCapture-Setup-x.x.x.exe - macOS (Apple Silicon):
CueCapture-x.x.x-arm64.dmg - macOS (Intel):
CueCapture-x.x.x-x64.dmg
Installation
Section titled “Installation”- Download the
.exeinstaller - Run the installer (you may see a Windows SmartScreen warning - click “More info” then “Run anyway”)
- Follow the installation wizard
- CueCapture will launch automatically when installation completes
- Download the
.dmgfile for your processor (arm64 for M1/M2, x64 for Intel) - Open the DMG file
- Drag CueCapture to your Applications folder
- Open CueCapture from Applications (right-click and select “Open” the first time)
First Launch
Section titled “First Launch”When you first open CueCapture, you’ll see the setup wizard that guides you through:
- Notion API Key - Create a Notion integration and enter your API key
- Database Selection - Choose which Notion database contains your tasks
- Property Mapping - Map your database properties to CueCapture fields
Don’t worry if this sounds complicated - the setup wizard walks you through each step. Or you can follow our detailed API Key Setup guide.
Auto-Start (Optional)
Section titled “Auto-Start (Optional)”You can configure CueCapture to start automatically when your computer boots:
- Open CueCapture settings (click the gear icon)
- Go to Preferences section
- Enable “Start at login”
- Open CueCapture settings (click the gear icon)
- Go to Preferences section
- Enable “Start at login”
Or add CueCapture to your Login Items in System Settings.
Updating
Section titled “Updating”CueCapture automatically checks for updates and will notify you when a new version is available. You can also:
- Check for updates manually in Settings → About
- Download the latest version from GitHub and install over the existing version
Your settings and Notion connection are preserved when updating.
Uninstalling
Section titled “Uninstalling”- Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps
- Find CueCapture and click Uninstall
- Follow the uninstall wizard
- Open Finder → Applications
- Drag CueCapture to the Trash
- Empty the Trash
Uninstalling CueCapture does not affect your Notion data. All your tasks remain safely in Notion.
